Peggy Gillaspie and Evelyn Schwinn visited Betty Heywood at St. John Hospital in Leavenworth recently. She is back at her home in Tonganoxie now, doing pretty well.

Richard and Wanda Parker made a trip to Oklahoma last week to attend the funeral of a Parker relative.

Brian and Linda and Justin Schwinn were visiting with Evelyn Schwinn on Aug. 20.

Isabella Gillaspie came to grandma Evelyn Schwinn’s home on Aug. 21 to visit. She is 4 years old.

A carnival took place at the McLouth Methodist Church on Aug. 25 with about 50 people attending. A clown visited with children. Hot dogs, chips, tea and lemonade were served. There was a cake walk and several other games. The children really had a good time. Lots of cupcakes were given away.

The McLouth Methodist Church hosted a revival on Aug. 26. The minister was from Holton. Lots of good hymns were sung.

Tom Powell from Springdale fell and broke his ankle recently. He came home from the hospital on Aug. 25 and is doing pretty well.

Kathy Powell was visiting Anabel Knapp on the evening of Aug. 26.

Carl and Barbara Slaughter of Springdale attended a funeral at Lee’s Summit, Mo., for a friend of theirs on Aug. 27.

Jim Lawrence and daughter Gracie were delivering peaches to Wayne and Anabel Knapp on Aug. 23.

Ron Nobel visited the Knapps on Aug. 20.
