Jarbalo United Methodist Church will have a rummage sale Friday, Sept. 18 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. These are the same dates as Edie Mongold’s garage sale.
Jarbalo United Methodist Church played host to its Community BBQ on Saturday evening. A former resident of this area, Bill Davis, and his wife Margie, of Platte City, Mo., attended. Bill told of going to several grade schools in the area before the family moved to a house near the old covered bridge near Springdale. Others told some of the history of Jarbalo.
Sunday afternoon, Jane Turner, Tracey Turner and Sydney, Kathy Stimac and Thamar Barnett went to a bridal shower for Luci Wotton in Shawnee. Sydney stayed overnight with David and Jane Turner.
A Labor Day picnic took place at the home of Thamar Barnett. Those attending were Steve and Gail Fitzwater, David and Jane Turner, Jess Barnett, Luci Wotton, Tim Davis, Eric Barnett, Kathy Stimac, David Jr. and Tracey Turner and Sydney, Tammy Mooberry and Madison Smith, Ronnie Mooberry, Dameta Tullis and Ricky, Lynn Heskett and Michelle, Kody Heskett and Julie Hartman, Julia Carter and Shianne. Julia and Shianne stayed Sunday night with Thamar Barnett.
For some technical reason, my news did not make it through the fax route last week, so here are a couple of items from it:
Jeff and Lenora Dickinson took Bid Sheppard to eat at Kelley’s Grill & Bar at Basehor on Aug. 28.
Sandra Heim and Virginia Murphy went to Manhattan Thursday to visit Addie Rodell.
Phil and Betty Clark spent the weekend with Jeff and Rachel Ryan at Park City.
