The Tonganoxie High girls soccer team experienced a bit of everything in a three-match homestand this past week.

First, the Chieftains defeated Bishop Ward, 4-0, on April 13 at Chieftain Park. Shyanne Gergick scored two goals and Hillary Saathoff and Kayla Jackson added a score apiece.

Then, on Thursday, Gardner-Edgerton came to town and blanked THS, 7-0.

The week of home matches wrapped up Monday with a 1-1 tie against Bonner Springs after two overtimes. Lauren Williams scored Tonganoxie’s only goal.

The Chieftains’ record is now 2-6-1. They travel to Bishop Ward, in Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday.
