Terri Parker was honored with a baby shower at Springdale Friends Church on July 31. It was hosted by her sister Joy Ewert and assisted by her sister Cheryl Dragoo and Melissa Kiemeg. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended, bringing many cute and useful gifts for the baby boy-to-be.
Pastor Bill Gritton and family were vacationing over the Aug. 1 weekend, so Pastor Earl Marvin of Spring Hill filled the pulpit. Pastor Marvin was pastor at Springdale Friends in the late 50 and early 60s. He has great memories.
Amy Jo Schwinn was honored on Aug. 1 with a bridal shower for relatives and friends at the Chris and Alice Moore home. The Moores are her in-laws.
Justin Schwinn was celebrating his 17th birthday on Aug. 7. He is son of Brian and Linda K. Schwinn and will be a senior at Pleasant Ridge High School soon.
Kathy McLaughlin, who was hurt three years ago in an automobile accident, attended McLouth Methodist Church Sunday and was a dinner guest of Wayne and Anabel Knapp. She is driving some and we were so glad to see her. She is living with her parents at Muscotah.
Barbara and Shelly Mier were afternoon visitors of Anabel Knapp on Aug. 3.
Kirk Knapp came Aug. 2 to help his dad mow the yards and stayed all night. They grew so fast.
Cora and John Moses, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the Farm Bureau dinner on July 29 at the Heritage Center. The Livewires 4-H Club served a very delicious meal and a large crowd attended.
