TUESDAY

8-9 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open goat entries accepted/weighed in, livestock barns.

• Open class home economics entries accepted, home economics building.

8 a.m.-noon

• 4-H clothing entries accepted, Tonganoxie 4-H building.

• 4-H projects displays set up, green metal building.

• 4-H booth/banner entries accepted, green metal building.

9 a.m.

• 4-H electric consultation judging, green metal building.

9-11 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open beef entries accepted/weighed in, livestock barns.

9 a.m.-noon

• 4-H photography entries checked in, Tonganoxie 4-H building.

• 10 a.m.

• Open class home economics judging and open class ceramics judging.

11 a.m.

• 4-H bucket calf entries accepted/weighed in, livestock barns.

Noon

• Opening ceremony colors presented at flag pole by Tonganoxie VFW Post 9271 and Tonganoxie High School band.

1 p.m.

• 4-H entomology, forestry and geology consultation judging, rabbit barn.

• 4-H photography consultation and home environment judging, Tonganoxie 4-H building.

1-4 p.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open vegetable and plant science entries accepted, green metal building.

1-5:30 p.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open class poultry entries accepted, poultry barns.

2 p.m.

• 4-H booth/banners and project display judging, green metal building.

5 p.m.

• 4-H/FFA vegetables and plant science judging, green metal building.

5-9 p.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open class rabbit entries accepted, rabbit barn.

6 p.m.

• Fair photo contest entries due, administration building.

• 4-H/FFA and open swine show and showmanship judging, show arena.

6-10 p.m.

• Discount night at the carnival. All carnival rides $2 each.

6:30 p.m.

• Leavenworth County Fair parade. Theme: “A Little Bit Country.” Route goes west through downtown Tonganoxie.

8 p.m.

• Draft horse pull, Kansas Country Store Arena.

WEDNESDAY

8 a.m.-noon

• 4-H/FFA and open class rabbit entries accepted, rabbit barn.

8 a.m.

• 4-H bucket calf consultation judging, Big Top Tent.

• 4-H/FFA and open class market and other goat show and showmanship judging, show arena.

• Open class field crops, horticulture and honey judging, green metal buildings.

8:30-10 a.m.

4-H and open class flower show entries accepted, home economics building.

9 a.m.

• 4-H Cloverbud entries accepted and judged, Tonganoxie 4-H building.

9:30 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA tractor operators event, check in at the 4-H office.

10 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA poultry showmanship judging, poultry barn.

10:30 a.m.-noon

• 4-H/FFA beef consultation judging, livestock show arena.

10:30 a.m.

• 4-H and open class flower judging, home economics building.

2 p.m.

• 4-H bucket calf fitting and showmanship judging, show arena.

• Barrel racing exhibitions, grandstand.

• Barrel racing, pee wee, senior, youth and open classes, grandstand.

THURSDAY

• 4-H/FFA and open class dairy cattle entries accepted, dairy barn.

9 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open class beef cattle show and showmanship judging, show arena.

• 4-H/FFA and open class rabbit show and showmanship judging, rabbit barn.

4 p.m. or immediately following beef show

• 4-H/FFA and open class dairy goat show and showmanship judging, show arena.

5:30-8 p.m.

• 4-H canned food drive, sponsored by Countywide 4-H Junior Leaders, west fair gates and 4-H food stand.

6 p.m.

• Open team penning, grandstand.

6-10 p.m.

• Armband night at the carnival.

8 p.m.

• 4-H/FFA and open class dairy cattle show and showmanship judging, show arena.

• Musical performance by Fast Johnny Ricker, Big Top Tent, free admission.

FRIDAY

8 a.m.

• Livestock showmanship round robin, show arena.

9:30-10:15 a.m.

• Livestock judging contest registration, show arena.

10 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Senior Day at the Fair, sponsored by Leavenworth County Council on Aging, Big Top Tent.

10:30 a.m.

• Livestock judging contest.

11:30 a.m.

• 4-H rockets launched, baseball field near fairgrounds.

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Ag Challenge of Champions, 4-H office.

5:30-6:30 p.m.

• Reception for 2009 4-H/FFA livestock buyers, show arena.

6-6:15 p.m.

• 4-H spirit awards, Ag Challenge of Champions and 4-H scholarships announced.

6:30 p.m.

• 45th annual livestock auction, show arena.

7:15 p.m.

• Outlaw Mud Run, north of parking area. Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for youths 6-12 and free for youths younger than 6.

8 p.m.

• Musical performance by The Fairmounters, Big Top Tent, free admission.

SATURDAY

8:30-9:30 a.m.

• 4-H horticulture judging contest, show arena, closed to the public.

10 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA shepherd’s lead contest, Big Top Tent.

10 a.m.-noon

• 4-H dog show agility classes.

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

• Turtle races registration, limit one turtle per child, Big Top Tent.

Noon

• Pie eating contest, open to public, Big Top Tent.

1 p.m.

• Turtle races, Big Top Tent.

2 p.m.

Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, 3 p.m., show arena.

6:30 p.m.

• Youth dance, show arena. Admissions benefit the Memorial Garden at the fairgrounds.

• Demolition derby, grandstand. Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for youths 6-12 and free for children younger than 6.

SUNDAY

8:30 a.m.

• Closing ceremony presented by Tonganoxie VFW Post 9271.

9 a.m.

• 4-H/FFA exhibits released.

10 a.m.

• Fairgrounds clean-up.
