Tonganoxie power lifters medal

The Tonganoxie High power lifting team enjoyed success at Hoyt on Saturday as the girls finished second in the team standings and two boys were in the top five of their respective weight classes.
The THS girls had seven competitors finish in the top five at Royal Valley’s Panther Invitational.
Leading the way were Rebekah Adcox, Ashley Kotowske and Shelby Maxon with second-place finishes.
Ali George and Makayla Sample placed third.
The Chieftains didn’t send as many boys to the event but Eric Lucas placed third and Dylan Young took fifth.
The team will compete again on Saturday at Basehor-Linwood.
