Herbert and Genevieve Schwinn, Evelyn Schwinn, Myron and Jody Schwinn, Mary Barbara Allen, and Carolyn Thomas met on Herbert’s birthday Jan. 28 at Montana Mike’s in Lawrence.

Richard and Wanda Parker had their grandson Matt Dragoo and family of El Dorado visiting the Jan. 31 weekend.

Danny Schwinn celebrated his 59th birthday Feb. 3. He will celebrate with his family on the weekend.

Marie Hill was visiting Evelyn Schwinn Wednesday, Feb. 3.

John and Cora Moses, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the Leavenworth County Conservation District Annual dinner Jan. 30 at the Lansing Community Center. A lovely meal was prepared by Dorothy Klamm of Basehor.

Kirk Knapp of Valley Falls was a guest of his parents the evening of Feb. 2.

Wayne, Anabel and Kirk Knapp went early Feb. 3 on a business trip to Excelsior Springs, Mo. On the way home, they stopped at the “Pub” in Leavenworth. In visiting while eating, the owners of the “Pub” said they took The Mirror and enjoyed it. The owners, William and Sharon Kirby, have ancestors who used to own land in Springdale.

After church Jan. 31, the United Methodist Church had a baked potato dinner with all the trimmings and delicious desserts. Wayne and Anabel Knapp enjoyed a very nice meal.
