Letters: Applauding sign displayed by community churches
To the editor:
Twenty-nine years ago this month, our premature baby, Brent, died. He lived for four weeks and weighed less than 2 pounds when born. He was very much a baby, not a glob of tissue. We loved him and cared for him deeply. Yet how many babies lose their life daily in this world through the act of abortion? There are alternatives and different organizations that are very willing to help anyone dealing with the question “should I abort or not?”
I would sincerely like to thank both Sacred Heart Catholic Church and West Haven Baptist Church for their public stand about abortion. Countless people pass the sign, which your churches have alternately posted on your grounds the last several months. I have no doubt that your sign has made more than one person stop and think. Again, thank you so much.
