January 25, 2010

The McLouth High girls basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit to pick up a 43-41 road win at Kansas City East Christian on Friday.

The Bulldogs (6-4) trailed, 22-15, at halftime but outscored the home team 28-19 in the second half to escape with a victory.

Senior Missy Rome led MHS with 20 points and four assists.

Cassidy Bristol nearly had a double-double, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Kylie Shufflebarger, meanwhile, did a little bit of everything: six points, six rebounds, four blocks, three steals and three assists.

McLouth won despite going just 5-for-14 from the free-throw line.

This week the Bulldogs are playing at the Jefferson County North tournament in Winchester, with games Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
