Jarbalo United Methodist Women went Friday to Hickory Pointe Nursing Home in Oskaloosa to serve angel food cake and ice cream for their birthday party. Those going were Bid Sheppard, Marilyn Oxley, Frances Jeannin, Thamar Barnett and Rev. Larry Grove.
Thamar Barnett and Jane Turner attended a baby shower for Derek and Luci Barnett on Saturday at the home of Luci’s aunt, Sue Mallery, in Shawnee.
Frances Jeannin and several others from the community attended the wedding of Katie Jeannin and John Volk on Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church.
Charles and Connie Sheppard of Lenexa took Bid Sheppard out to eat Saturday at the China Inn in Leavenworth.sang songs and Rev. Morgan from the United Methodist Church of McLouth said a few words with prayer. Wayne and Anabel Kanpp visited July 17 with Marcus and Oova Mae at their home.
