Museum to have block party
June 2, 2010
Thanks to the Kansas City Regional Destination Alliance, radio station KCMO-FM 94.9 will broadcast live during a block party from noon to 2 p.m. on June 9 at the Lansing Historical Museum, 115 E. Kansas Ave. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Activities taking place during the party include:
• Face painting courtesy of the Carnegie Arts Center
• Painting demonstration by local artist Gene Young
• Summer cooking/food safety booth by Leavenworth County K-State Extension Office
• Lansing Police Department display
• Children’s crafts courtesy of the Lansing Historical Society
• Children’s activities at Leavenworth County Fire District #1 (Next door to the Museum.)
