5 area student named to Fort Hays State dean’s honor roll

Fort Hays State University students from Leavenworth County were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll for the spring 2010 semester.
To be eligible, students must have enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.6 for the semester.
Here is the list of students from Leavenworth County:
Tonganoxie
Tracie L. Hileman, sophomore, art education; Michael Thomas Holton, senior, agriculture; Kenneth Allan Ketchum, sophomore, computer networking.
Leavenworth
Amanda L. Andrews, senior, accounting; Darren Leroy Mathis, senior, general studies.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
