10 years ago: May 31, 2000 Members of VFW Post 9271 installed flags at Hubbel Hill Cemetery on Monday morning. The men started early on both Sunday and Monday; putting up a total of about 200 flags in Tonganoxie and at Maple Grove and Hubbel Hill cemeteries. In addition, Monday morning, they lowered the flag at Reusch Memorial VFW Park to half-staff.
