Tonganoxie High’s boys basketball team rolled into its sub-state semifinal poised to knock off No. 1 seed Pleasant Ridge. Instead, just 7:17 into their second playoff game, the course of the Chieftains’ postseason was altered completely.

Lesia Winters, a photographer for 30 years, will be giving a presentation on the five types of photography used during the Civil War at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 at the Tonganoxie Community Historical Society, 201 W. Washington St.
Support group to play host to cancer survivor meet

Frieda’s Friends, a Leavenworth area cancer support group, will have a meeting entitled “Stay Healthy, Stay Active, Stay Well” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Father Bourke Room in St. John Hospital in Leavenworth.
