Regional softball pushed back

Monday’s Class 4A regional softball games at Atchison have been postponed due to poor field conditions.
The Tonganoxie High softball team was scheduled to play at Atchison Sports Complex for the first round of its regional tournament Monday at 6:30 p.m. but all the games have been pushed back to Tuesday.
The Chieftains, the No. 7 seed, will play No. 2 seed Atchison on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on Field 4 at the complex.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
