Springdale News

A very large crowd was up at Springdale Fire Station on Nov. 2, when 232 cast their ballots on election day.

Oct. 31 was active in the Springdale area with all of the cute little ones out doing their trick-or-treating.

Linda R. Schwinn celebrated her 59th birthday on Oct. 31. Her daughter, Julie Zule, celebrated her 39th birthday. They had a good time together.

Sharon Lynn of Leavenworth came out on Nov. 1 to help Evelyn Schwinn enjoy coffee and doughnuts for an early birthday get-together.

Linda Haley visited her neighbor this past week.

Beth, Aaron, Carl and Lain Hecht went trick-or-treating at Wayne and Anabel Knapp’s home. Anabel babysat the boys for several years. Carl is in eighth grade and Lain is in fifth grade. They go to school in Tonganoxie.

Ed and Peggy Gillaspie enjoyed a few fall days in Branson, Mo., over the weekend of Oct. 22-24.

David, Jennifer and Brayden Roggenkamp were recent weekend visitors from St. Marys, visiting Johnny Schwinn and family.

Isabella Gillaspie spent Oct. 25 with her grandma, Evelyn Schwinn. She is in kindergarten and was feeling a little under the weather.

Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended Annie’s Country Jubilee in Tonganoxie Oct. 23 and enjoyed the Fowler family from Wichita.

Anabel Knapp was a guest of Austin Knapp and stayed all night Oct. 24 while his dad, Kirk Knapp, attended a concert at Topeka. There were 80 people from Rock Creek Church attending. Anabel came home the following morning.
