Reno Bobwhites 4-H Club report
The regular monthly meeting of the Reno Bobwhites was held on October 7, 2010 and was the first for some of the newly elected 4-Hers in office.
These officers were elected at the September meeting and installed in October: Aaron McIntyre, president; Allie Packard, vice-president; Bonnie Monahan, secretary; Justin Leslie, treasurer; Garret French, reporter; Daniel Monahan, county council representative; and Makayla Leslie, vice-president of songs.
Donna Wiley’s Display Committee was thanked for the display at First State Bank for 4-H week. Enrollment forms were due. State fair exhibitors received her congratulations. Volunteers are needed for the treasurer’s audit. The Leavenworth Fair Board bought the 4-H building. The Leavenworth Fair Broad will do maintenance on the building, so the Reno Bobwhites will be meeting in the Administration building if the 4-H building is unavailable. On Nov. 1, there will be VIP training at 3 p.m. for new volunteers. Volunteers are needed for 4-H record book judging. There may be a dress code for showmanship classes for the fair. As a reminder, by state law there is no smoking in the 4-H building. Please sign up to bring a side, dessert and how many people will be coming with you for Achievement Night. The club will be providing pizza.
The flag salutes were led by Molly Monahan. There was a poem reading by Aiden Boone. Hannah Davidson gave a project talk about her trip to Costa Rica with the International 4-H Youth leadership. The meeting was adjourned.
