Saturday evening Bid Sheppard attended a birthday party for Emma Aufdemberge, 6, and Charlie Aufdemberge, 2, at the home of their parents, Mark and Katie Aufdemberge, on Stranger Road.
Bid had a lot of visitors Sunday afternoon. They were Sarabeth Rathbun of Overland Park, Tina Arnell of Monett, Mo., Linda Aufdemberge of Basehor, Mike Kroll of Lansing and LaVera Aufdemberge.
David and Jane Turner’s dinner guests Friday evening were Tim and Kelly Kouns. Thamar Barnett was their guest for dinner Saturday evening to help her celebrate her birthday.
H.B. and Sandra Heim had weekend guests. They were Dave and Kara Clark of Clinton, Mo., and Kirk and Addie Rodell of Manhattan.
Friday Morgan Swiler of Lansing took Thamar Barnett to eat at Mr. Goodcents in Tonganoxie. They met at the site of 24-40 and Ridge St. July 29, 2002, when they had a collision with her car and his motorcycle.
Derek Barnett took Thamar Barnett to his home at Fort Leavenworth Sunday afternoon for her to see her new great-grandson, Kyle.
The BBQ at Jarbalo United Methodist Church starts at 5 p.m. Saturday. Entertainment will be by the Glory Generation. The event will be in the basement for eating and upstairs for entertainment.
Thanks to all for the birthday cards, calls and visits that helped me celebrate my birthday Saturday.
There will be a rummage sale from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 at Jarbalo United Methodist Church and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25.
