Animal blessing Sunday in Leavenworth
The Leavenworth County Animal Welfare Society will sponsor a community blessing of animals at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, under the awning for the First National Bank at Seventh and Delaware streets in Leavenworth.
Pets will be individually blessed and receive a St. Francis medal. All types of animals are welcome, and the event in open to those of all faiths.
