A 15-year-old Tonganoxie High School student has earned the Girl Scout Silver Award, which is Girl Scouting’s second-highest achievement. Lucinda Frevele, a THS sophomore, was recently awarded the honor. (Lucinda planned to go for the gold award next.)

Linwood Library offers “Ready to Read” series

The Linwood Community Library is offering a series on Thursday evenings in April through a donation by a library patron and a matching fund through the RA Long Foundation, which allows the library to purchase library materials that participants may use with their children, as well as provide them with a light meal before the class.
