LAWS offering free animal sterilization with coupon from this week’s edition

April 5, 2011

In an effort to have an impact on the problem of pet over-population, Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society is providing coupons for free sterilization to be done at an area low-cost clinic.

The free sterilization is valid only with the coupon, which appears elsewhere in this week’s edition of The Mirror.

The primary goal is to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats in our area and eliminate euthanasia of adoptable pets. Pet overpopulation is a national problem. Because of overcrowding in shelters and lack of homes, an adoptable dog or cat is euthanized in the USA every eight seconds, according to LAWS.
