Before his left leg was amputated above the knee, Trevor Roberts manned the post for McLouth High’s basketball team and served as a multi-purpose weapon for MHS football. With a running prosthetic in place, Roberts is training to compete once again.

Cause of death after motorcycle wreck unknown

The cause of death is still unknown for a Bonner Springs man injured in an April 3 motorcycle accident south of Tonganoxie. He later died at an area hospital.

Tonganoxie Community Historical Society Saturday will present “A Look Back In Time” from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, featuring a quilt show and many activities of interest from the 1800s. Bob and Alfreda Ryan will play with the “Tonganoxie Pickers” at 1 p.m. The group consists of musicians from Tonganoxie, McLouth, Leavenworth, Ottawa, Olathe, Ozawkie, De Soto and Lawrence.
Traffic on part of I-670 reduced to one lane

Kansas Department of Transportation workers have reduced traffic on eastbound Interstate 670 to one through lane only from the Interstate 70 split to Genessee Avenue for emergency repair work on a bridge.
