The Leavenworth County Commission meets regularly at 9 a.m. each Monday and Thursday at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, 300 Walnut St. in Leavenworth.

Agenda for the week of Aug. 22:

Monday, Aug. 22

9 a.m.: Public comment/administrative business

  • Adult Community Corrections — personnel
  • Review minutes of Aug. 18 meeting

Commissioners will review bills at the conclusion of scheduled business.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

Noon: Mid-America Regional Council board meeting

3 p.m.: Leavenworth County Development Corporation infrastructure meeting

Thursday, Aug. 25

9 a.m.: Public comment/administrative business

  • Review minutes of Aug. 22 meeting
  • Review agenda for week of Aug. 29

9:30 a.m.: Planning and zoning

  • Renewal application for a special use permit for a dog kennel (Camp Canine Kennel) at 21256 203rd St.
  • Preliminary and final plats for Guenther Farm subdivision
  • Application for rezoning from RR5.0 to RR2.5 requested by Keith and Lisa Baker
  • Zoning and subdivision regulations amendments — Articles 3, 4, 5, 25, 28 and 85.

10:30 a.m.: Benefit district discussion — Metro Avenue
