Pat and Michele Jeannin took grandmother Carmen Johnson and grandmother Frances Jeannin on Friday to Grinnell, Iowa, to see Ashley Jeannin play a couple of basketball games at Grinnell College, which she attends. Frances Jeannin also went Nov. 26 to Park College to see Ashley play basketball.
Jim and Jean Murry had their grandchildren with them for the Thanksgiving weekend. They are Sam, Joe and Lizzy Murry of Princeton and Hayley Earl of Atchison. Jean Murry of Leavenworth visited them all on Sunday.
Thamar Barnett went to a birthday party Saturday for her great-granddaughter, Taylor Bennett, at the home for her father, Loren Barnett, who lives in the house that was Bid Sheppard’s.
Jarbalo United Methodist Church will have its annual Christmas dinner noon Friday, Dec. 9. There was Hanging of the Greens on Nov. 26 at the church to get it decorated for Christmas. There will be a candlelight service at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at the church.
Christine Black spent Thanksgiving with her family, whom she met at the home of Ben Back in Wellsville.
Frances Jeannin had dinner for 22 guests at her house Thanksgiving Day.
Andre and Shegale Thurmond, Jeremiah and Keyia of Atlanta, Ga., spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her father, Dan Crute.
The Barnett family had its Thanksgiving dinner in the basement of Jarbalo United Methodist Church. Those gathered there were Gail and Steve Fitzwater, Adam and Josh, Jane and David Turner, Derek and Luci Barnett, Loren Barnett and Taylor, Jesse Barnett and Chloe and friend, Kody, and Julie Heskett, Julia Carter and Shianne and Thamar Barnett.
