McLouth Happenings
Christmas music will be featured at McLouth United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 11. The choir will sing at 11 a.m. At 5 p.m., enjoy their Christmas Program.
The Parents As Teachers Holiday Playgroup can spend some time with Santa while he’s in town from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at McLouth’s community center/library. Enjoy holiday activities for young children (0-5 years of age) and get a picture with Santa. For more information, please contact parent educator Jennifer Klamm: (913) 845-1519 or bjklamm@msn.com.
Parents As Teachers Playgroups welcome all families in the community with children under 3 years of age. (Older siblings may attend.) Playgroups are led by a parent educator and will have activities that are enriching in the areas of language, social-emotional, motor and intellectual development. Playgroups are literacy-based, meaning the theme is based on a children’s book. The activities are for parents and children to enjoy together as well as with friends from the playgroup. A playgroup is a good place to learn and practice social skills.
Parents As Teachers is a fun, free, early learning program for parents of children prenatal through 3 years, sponsored by McLouth school district and the Kansas State Department of Education. For more information, contact Klamm.
