Q: When did you move to the area, and what brought you here?

I moved to the area in 1992, after my parents built their dream home in the country. I wasn’t very pleased at the time, but after moving back to Kansas City for a very short time, I realized I loved Leavenworth County and had to move back.

Q: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?

Probably getting married at such a young age. Luckily for me, it’s been very easy to prove wrong most everyone’s theory about getting married young.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Never go to bed angry.

Q: What three things would you want people to know about you?

I am very task-oriented and like to get the job done. I’m a people person who talks entirely too much. I love doing “guy” things such as hunting, fishing, camping — doing anything outdoors with my husband and son.

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a mom.

Q: What’s your ideal vacation spot?

After going to several different tropical areas, I’ve decided that Alaska is probably more my style. I’m very excited to go and spend time fishing and bear hunting!!

Food: I love a good steak and potato dinner.
