National FFA Week festivities kick off Monday in Tonganoxie

February 18, 2011

National FFA Week kicks off Monday and the Tonganoxie FFA will be doing its part to celebrate.

Monday will be Hat Day, while Tuesday has been designated as Dress Like a Cowboy/Cowgirl Day. Wednesday is Camouflage Day, Thursday is FFA Shirt Day and Friday is Drive Your Tractor to School Day.

Lunch activities at the high school also will be done on a daily basis.

Monday there will be corn counting and Tuesday’s activity is FFA trivia.

Wednesday’s activity actually takes place all day as students will be canvassing the school trying to find Tonganoxie FFA shirts from past years.

On Thursday judging practices classes will be taking place and Friday’s activity will be a race — a stick horse race.

The weeklong celebration concludes next Saturday with the Businessman’s Breakfast from 6:30-10:30 a.m. in the Tonganoxie High School east campus cafeteria.
