MHS boys lose invitational opener

The McLouth High boys basketball team was upended in the opening round of its home tournament on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs will play on the consolation side of the McLouth Invitational bracket after losing to Valley Falls, 64-46.

Shawn Dailey and Marc Walbridge each scored 10 points for MHS (5-4) in the loss. Freshman Nick McAferty added nine points.

Dakota Cop, back in the lineup after an injury, scored six points.

The loss puts McLouth in a 7:30 p.m. Friday consolation semifinal against Maranatha Academy.
