Tonganoxie wrestlers 6th at Holton
More than half of Tonganoxie High’s wrestlers medaled Saturday at the Holton Invitational, helping the Chieftains finish sixth in the team standings.
Freshman 112-pounder Clayton Himpel was Tonganoxie’s top finisher at Holton, going 4-0 to take first place.
Both Justin Soetaert (125 pounds) and Nick Pursel (160) went 3-1 and placed third.
Britton Price (135) went 3-2 and finished fourth.
Caleb Himpel (130) and Adam Thomas (140) each had a 3-2 record to finish fifth.
Going 3-3 and finishing sixth for THS were Dylan Yates (119) and Jonas Myers (189).
At 9 a.m. on Saturday, Tonganoxie will begin competing in the Baldwin Invitational.
