American Legion Post 41 moving meetings to local restaurant

Tonganoxie American Legion Post No. 41 will move its meeting place. The building on Laming Road where the organization has been meeting has been sold. As a temporary solution, the post has made arrangements to meet at Elle’s Diner on U.S. Highway 24-40. The next meeting for the Post will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a presentation from the Veterans Administration and discussion on a future Post Headquarters.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.

Maybe they should go to all the restaurants in town. Why give all their business to one. Sounds wrong to me!

the american legion can do what they want. they fight for our country and now you think you can tell them what to do? go vote for obama.
