Dolls made during the Great Depression as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA ) will be the topic of the “Know Your Antiques” program next Wednesday at the Watkins Museum in Lawrence. (The cloth dolls are valuable and generally sell for $1,100 to $1,300 each.) Many of the WPA dolls and figurines from Watkins Museum’s collection will be displayed.

Kansas Summer Nationals Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pull starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the McLouth Threshing Bee Grounds. Limited pro-stock tractors, pro-stock 4x4 pick-ups, modified tractors, pro-stock tractors and unlimited super stock classes will be featured.
