Dolls made during the Great Depression as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) will be the topic of the “Know Your Antiques” program next Wednesday at the Watkins Museum in Lawrence. (The cloth dolls are valuable and generally sell for $1,100 to $1,300 each.) Many of the WPA dolls and figurines from Watkins Museum’s collection will be displayed.

Kansas Summer Nationals Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pull starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the McLouth Threshing Bee Grounds. Limited pro-stock tractors, pro-stock 4x4 pick-ups, modified tractors, pro-stock tractors and unlimited super stock classes will be featured.
