Courtney reunion is Sunday in McLouth

The family of Robert E. and Narcissa Agee Courtney will gather for a reunion Sunday in McLouth.
The Courtneys settled in the Springdale community before Kansas was a state. They raised a large family of eight sons and three daughters and have hundreds of descendants living in this area. Family members are invited to gather for a potluck dinner at 12:30 p.m. at the McLouth Community Building. The community center shares a building with the McLouth Public Library and is at 215 S. Union St.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
