Pastor’s corner: Ryan Keltner
Are you thirsty? Is life running you ragged? Pulling you every which way but the direction you should be going? We live in a world of high-speed Internet, fast food, and technology that allows you to do multiple things at once. At the same time, we have to be here and there and take the kids from one place to the next. A lot of the time, we don’t have time to give our body what it needs to function properly. Things happen that we can’t control. We keep trying to catch up, but we can’t.
In Isaiah 55, it says: “Come, all you who are thirsty…” I think most of us are thirstier than we know. We don’t slow down enough to listen to what God is trying to tell us. Why are you worried about this and that? Is that really that important? We keep going and never stop or take time to fill up on what we really need, God.
If we would just make Him a priority, everything else will work out. He must be first in our lives, and it is essential that we are filled daily by praying, reading His word and having that one-on-one time with Him. I think there are a lot of people who think they don’t have time for Him or have never even tried to make time for Him. Are you thirsty? Are you feeling worn out, stressed out and hungry for something more? Put God first, and I know you will be surprised how things will go smoother. There might be some things that He shows you that need to be let go.
So, I encourage everyone to take some time to hydrate yourself daily with God’s word and some true one-on-one time with Him.
