Classes for kidney disease sufferers available Tuesdays

EMPOWER Kidney Disease Classes are available 5-7 p.m. every Tuesday through 2011 at four separate Kansas City area locations.
On the first Tuesday of every month, a class will take place at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., for the people who live in the western area of greater Kansas City. Nov. 1 will be the next class at Providence Medical Center.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
