For $2, students may purchase the right to wear a hat throughout the day. For $5, teachers and staff can purchase the right to dress casual. Students can pay at the TMS office for the right to wear hats.

All proceeds will be donated to East Middle School to replace its fine arts library and athletics equipment lost in the May 22 tornado that devastated Joplin.

On Sept. 2, 2011, TMS raised $1,106.78 with its first hat day.
