Live wolves coming to Basehor-Linwood High School for library program

By Staff | Oct 20, 2011

A Colorado wolf sanctuary will bring three live wolves to Basehor-Linwood High School next month for an event sponsored by Basehor Community Library.

Mission:Wolf will present an educational and interactional program featuring “wolf ambassadors” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the BLHS gym. Admission is free.

Laura Carroll, adult services librarian at the library, said the first half-hour of the program will educate visitors about wolves and wolf protection efforts, and the second half-hour will allow visitors to see the wolves up close.

The program is recommended for older elementary-aged children through adults, Carroll said.
