Man convicted of marijuana-related DUI after driving into Basehor yard in August 2010
A 26-year-old Overland Park man on Thursday was convicted of driving under the influence for an August 2010 incident in Basehor involving marijuana.
Jordan E. Boyd, 26, of Overland Park received his fourth DUI conviction in Leavenworth County District Court on Thursday. Boyd was arrested in Basehor on Aug. 21, 2010, after a Basehor Police officer saw his car miss a left turn and drive into the front lawn of a residence near 155th Street and Parallel Road, according to a release from Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson.
Boyd smelled of marijuana and failed sobriety tests, the release said, and a forensic toxicologist with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Boyd had marijuana in his system. No alcohol was involved in the incident, the release said.
Boyd will be sentenced next month.
