Springdale News

September 6, 2011

Wednesday, Aug. 24 Linda Schwinn, Barbara Schwinn, Brenda Schwinn, Evelyn Schwinn and Jackie Schwinn of Springdale attended the Women in Ag program at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds in Tonganoxie. It was a very informative evening.

Several members of the Springdale Friends Church went to the Tonganoxie Friends Church on Aug. 28 for a potluck and fellowship time.

Brian Schwinn celebrated his birthday on Aug. 28 with his family.

On Aug. 29, Evelyn and Kathy McLoughlin of Muscotah visited with Wayne and Anabel Knapp. They hadn’t seen each other for several months. They reported a few weeks back a storm hit Muscotah and knocked out windows in their house and damaged their air conditioner. Winds up to 95 miles an hour were reported and there was some hail. It was really bad. Their soy beans were ruined.

Rob Nobel, a neighbor of Wayne and Anabel Knapp, paid them a visit on Aug. 30. He had some lovely peaches he had picked from his tree.

Linda and Ralph and Danny Haley traveled to Great Bend on Aug. 20. They were attending a family wedding.

Kirk and Austin Knapp were dinner guests of Wayne and Anabel Knapp. They were mowing grass morning and evening on Aug. 20.

Eight-year-old Kirk Knapp is a second-grader attending school in Meriden this year. He seems to like it really well.
