Bike MS ride coming through Basehor on Saturday
Between 1,000 and 2,000 bicyclists are expected to ride through Basehor this weekend as part of a multiple sclerosis fundraiser, and the Basehor-Linwood High School National Honor Society will provide a rest stop for the riders in the school's parking lot.
The Bike MS Kansas City Ride route will come through Basehor on Saturday, and riders are expected to pass through the city throughout the day, according to the city. They will ride north on 155th Street through the city, crossing U.S. Highway 24-40 and exiting through the city limits at Donahoo Road.
Students in NHS at the high school will provide a rest stop for the riders from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., serving them snacks and drinks. The group is also looking for additional volunteers from the community, and people interested in volunteering can email email@example.com or sign up online at bikems.org.
