Bulldogs roll again, reach 3-0
Three weeks into the season, opponents seemingly have no answer for the McLouth High football team.
The Bulldogs remained unbeaten with another blowout victory Friday, winning 54-0 at Immaculata, in Leavenworth.
MHS (3-0) won by 40-plus points for the third week in a row with another big night from senior running back Shawn Dailey, who rushed for 135 yards and three scores on just nine carries and recovered a fumble and returned it 25 yards for a TD for the final score of the game.
Dailey’s three-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter was the first of eight scores for McLouth, which took a 21-0 lead into the second quarter following a pair of touchdowns by Dakota Cop — first on a 46-yard pass from Marc Walbridge, then on a 67-yard carry.
The next three touchdowns — two in the second quarter and one in the third — all came courtesy of Dailey.
A 34-yard rushing TD by junior TJ Crowell put the Bulldogs up 48-0 in the fourth quarter.
Through three games, MHS has outscored its opponents 153-6, with two shutout victories.
At 7 p.m. Friday, McLouth will play host to Sunrise Academy for its homecoming game.
