Jarbalo Jottings

September 28, 2011

Our sympathy goes to the family of Henry (Blackie) Ehart, who died Saturday morning.

Jane Turner attended Designed for Life 2011 Sept. 22-24 at James River Assembly in Ozark, Mo., with a group of ladies from Cornerstone Worship.

Jarbalo United Methodist Women are taking orders for unbaked, frozen pumpkin pies. To order, call Thamar Barnett at (913) 727-1727 or Marilyn Oxley at (913) 369-3289. Order by Oct. 30. Pickup time will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Nov. 10 and 17.

There was a work day at the Oelschlaeger farm on Saturday. John Oelschlaeger from Lawrence and Gary and Aidan Oelschlaeger of Overland Park were there.

Orville and Rosie Oelschlaeger enjoyed dinner at IHOP Sunday.

Steve and Gail Fitzwater of Shawnee visited Thamar Barnett and David and Jane Turner Sunday afternoon. They have been good friends of Chuck and Cherie Elvin, of Lenexa, and family for many years and were very saddened by the death of Cherie at a Reno, Nev., air show and the injuries to other members of the Elvin family.
