McLouth football now 5-0 after latest romp

Jefferson County North became the latest victim of the McLouth High football team Friday night at Winchester as the Bulldogs won their fifth straight game to stay unbeaten.

MHS never trailed in another lopsided victory — this one a 41-6 road win.

Senior McLouth running back Shawn Dailey gave the visitors their first of six touchdowns on a three-yard run in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs (5-0) took a two-score lead in the first when TJ Crowell recovered a JCN fumble in the end zone.

MHS quarterback Marc Walbridge kept the ball for a one-yard rushing TD in the third and JCN trailed 20-0 before getting its only touchdown of the evening.

McLouth finished the game on a 21-0 run. The Bulldogs took a 27-6 lead into the half following a 26-yard touchdown pass from Walbridge to Tim Culter.

Dailey, who finished with 66 yards on 13 carries, scored his second rushing TD in the third quarter.

Senior running back Alex Courtney reached the end zone with a three-yard score in the fourth.

Walbridge threw for 142 yards and was eight for 15 with an interception.

The MHS defense had four takeaways.

On Friday, McLouth is on the road at Horton.
