Order now for your Easter pies. These are frozen, unbaked pies. You bake them at home and enjoy the aroma and taste of fresh-baked pie. This is a fundraiser for Jarbalo United Methodist Church. Call Christine Black at (913) 727-6643 or Marilyn Oxley at (913) 369-3289.
Saturday, John and Gary Oelschlaeger and Abby visited Orville and Rosie Oelschlaeger.
Rosie visited Mark Oelschlaeger at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he continues to be a patient.
Katie Volk of St. Louis visited Frances Jeannin on Tuesday. Ashley Jeannin of Grinnell, Iowa, visited her Wednesday.
There will be a Holy Thursday Communion service at Jarbalo United Methodist Church at 7 p.m.
Sunrise service at the church will be at 7 a.m. on the lawn. Breakfast will follow.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
