On Thursday, March 29, the committee of the Easton Rural High School Alumni met at the Pullman Place Restaurant to plan the upcoming reunion, to be 6 p.m. June 2 at St. Lawrence Hall in Easton. Present were Judy Sloan, Joyce Lowe, Evelyn Swhinn, Eugene & Eileen Kramer, Maxine Tucker, May and Jim Thomas, and Danny and Linda Schwinn.

Marie Hill was visitor of Evelyn Schwinn on Friday, March 30.

On Palm Sunday, the youth of Springdale Friends Church presented a special program in verse and music under the direction of Dyla Lawrence.

Johnny and Jackie Schwinn played host to a supper at their home for the March birthdays on the Monroe side of the family.

Ray Cole’s family and Evelyn Schwinn were dinner guests on Sunday, April 1, at the home of Brian and Linda Schwinn.

Wayne and Anabel Knapp had a birthday supper on Monday evening, April 2, for their son, Kirk Knapp.

Springdale Friends had the community Holy Week service on the evening of April 3. A nice crowd attended. The Rev. Melinda Harwood of Oskaloosa was the speaker.

Correction: Regarding last week’s report that Leavenworth County Co-op manager Sue Elniff was returning, the new manager is Sam Scofield from Belview, and not Gary Oberdick as reported. Gary is a Co-op member and chairman of the board.
