Local softball doubleheaders rained out

The Tonganoxie and McLouth High softball teams had doubleheaders scheduled for Thursday evening, but both have been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Chieftains were set to travel to Basehor-Linwood, while the Bulldogs had a home date scheduled with Riverside. THS will play host to Piper at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18. MHS' next scheduled action is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Atchison County Community High School.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
