Restaurant victim of burglary

Tonganoxie police are investigating cash and computer equipment being taken this week from a Tonganoxie restaurant.
Police Chief Jeff Brandau said that someone kicked in a back door at Elle’s Diner, 1212 E. U.S. Highway 24-40, sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Brandau said owners reported the loss Wednesday morning.
Money from the cash register and computer equipment were taken, Brandau said. He estimated total loss to be about $2,000.
The police chief said the investigation is ongoing.
“We’re looking at leads,” he said.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
