Warrior wrestlers end season at Clark Invitational

The Tonganoxie Middle School wrestling team sent 18 athletes to Saturday’s Clark Middle School Invitational in Bonner Springs. TMS took third out of 12 teams with a score of 225.5. Basehor-Linwood (237) won the tournament, while Topeka-Seamen (235) took second.

Twelve Warriors earned top-four finishes in their respective classes. Justin Hand (4-0) was the school’s only individual champion. Patterson Starcher, Gad Huseman and Connor Brown each went 2-1 and wrestled their way to second place. TMS also had five third-place performances and three fourth-place finishes.

The tournament marked the end of the Warriors’ 2012 season. Dylan Kroll led the team with 16 wins this season, while rrett Sloan recorded a team-best 14 pins.
