McLouth Happenings

Lloyd and Margaret Smelser attended the annual Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association convention in Manhattan, which included a tour of Caterpillar Work Tools in Wamego. They were presented an award for 40 years of membership.
• An exercise group meets at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday in the McLouth Community Center (behind the library). There is no fee. All levels of physical fitness are welcome to participate in this one-hour session of walking and moderate exercise. (It’s perfectly acceptable to take a "rest" whenever necessary.)

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
