Back in June of 2010, when Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig announced that Kauffman Stadium would play host to the 2012 MLB All-Star Game, I knew that I had to be in attendance. When my dad told me that we were going to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, I could not be happier.

The Leavenworth County Commission meets regularly at 9 a.m. each Monday and Thursday at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, 300 Walnut St. in Leavenworth. During the week of July 16, the commission may meet on additional days as it discusses the county’s 2013 budget.

The regular monthly meeting of the Reno Bobwhites was called to order by President Aaron McIntyre on July 5, 2012. The American and 4-H flag salutes were led. Secretary Bonnie Monahan read the minutes of the June meeting. The minutes were approved as read. The song leaders led the Club in “America the Beautiful.”
