Gail White of Mount Vernon, Mo., visited Faye Cleavinger and other relatives July 4-6.

Greg Powell of Paola and Edna Powell Hammentree of Harrisburg, Pa., visited Thamar Barnett Wednesday. They had a lot of relatives in the Springdale area years ago and they are searching for information about them. Edna is the daughter of Leland Powell, granddaughter of Dave Powell and great-granddaughter of Frank Hasty Powell. Greg is a descendant of the Claude Powell family. His father is Bill Powell.

Jarbalo United Methodist Women met Wednesday afternoon at the church. President Marilyn Oxley opened the meeting with a prayer. Four members answered roll call and reported 34 care calls. The group discussed the success of Vacation Bible School and the tea. Thank you notes were read concerning the tea.

Faye Cleavinger read some poems for the lesson. She also served refreshments to Marilyn Oxley, Frances Jeannin and Thamar Barnett.

David and Jane Turner went Saturday to a meeting of the Santa Fe Trail Leather Artists Guild at Centropolis.

Tammy Mooberry visited Thamar Barnett Friday evening. Those visiting her Sunday afternoon were Paul and Lynn Heskett with Isaac and their granddaughter, Emily Heskett, and David and Jane Turner.
